CERTIFICATION:
Open Water SCUBA Instructor. In addition to offering the core PADI courses, Tom is also certified to teach a number of Specialties: Peak Performance Buoyancy, Deep Diver, Underwater Navigator, Search and Recovery and Multi-Level Diving.

FAVORITES:
Favorite place to dive is Bonaire. But, favorite dive is the Bonne Terre Mine because it brings back memories of Sir Alec Guinness turning off the tractor beam on the Death Star in the original Star Wars movie.

PERSONAL MOTTO :
Don't breathe the water--fish pee in it.

BIO :
Tom's diving story began in 1993, when he was invited to come along to take a SCUBA class. Tom caught the SCUBA bug and worked his way to Instructor in 1994. Other than a brief break while living in the Washington, DC, area, Tom has been teaching ever since. He particularly enjoys teaching the SCUBA course at Wichita State University. But Tom says the best part of diving is that is how he met his wife, Laurie! Tom is the current Vice President of Wichita's dive club, the Doo Dah Divers.
